Website: http://www.gastro2009.org
EDS is currently actively involved in the preparation of the GASTRO 2009 program in London. We hope that many of our members will join us during this important meeting. Professor Jan van Lanschot, our UEGF Scientific Committee representative, has taken great strides to bring an adequate surgical focus to this meeting. Below are some of the many sessions that will be discussed during the conference:
- A world beating array of new science in gastroenterology and hepatology
- High quality updates on the frontiers of global clinical practice
- Interdisciplinary symposia on new approaches to diagnosis and treatment
- Live endoscopy from around the world each day
- An overriding theme will be the importance of addressing both research and clinical practice issues at a global level
- Eight working team reports which have been commissioned will be presented at GASTRO 2009
- New research workshops on each day of the core programme
and many more …
We hope for intensive and dynamic discussions between surgeons and gastroenterologists concerning the above mentioned subjects. Furthermore, the next General Assembly of EDS will also be held during the meeting in London, to which we invite all EDS members to actively participate. Additional detailed information will be soon at your disposal.
Moreover we would like to encourage all EDS members to submit their scientific work for presentation at the GASTRO 2009. We believe that the GASTRO 2009 offers a great opportunity to reveal our clinical and scientific work to an extended audience, especially our medical colleagues. The deadline for late-breaking abstract submission is July 17, 2009.
