The goal of the EDS Surgical Skills Course (SSC) is to provide surgical residents and young practicing surgeons an opportunity to learn/improve the fundamental skills of conventional and laparoscopic surgery in a consistent, scientifically accepted format, together with workshops on eFAST (Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) and Evidence Based Medicine. All with the goal of improving the quality of patient care. The course will be held over two days with a series of demonstrations and extensive hands on sessions.

The program of the course was meticulously revised, considering the feedback from the participants of the 1st EDS SSC – the trainees as well as the trainers. This resulted in expanding and elaborating exercises to gain and improve your surgical skills in open and laparoscopic approach, to obtain some experience with ultrasound guided interventions.
